Welcome to Enigma Moments

On December 3, 1990, Enigma released its debut album “MCMXC a.D.”. It was the beginning of an exceptional global success story. A quarter-century later Enigma is launching “Enigma Moments” - an online event to commemorate the project’s 25th anniversary together with you, loyal Enigma fans.

With eighth album released Enigma has created many wonderful different musical stories. Thousands of you have shared with us the role Enigma played in their lives. 25 years later we want to bring all these moments together: to share each others’ experiences and, most importantly, tell “your” story of Enigma.

So, we would like to welcome you to add your personal Enigma Moment to our timeline. Also, feel free to browse through other people’s submissions and show your appreciation with a Like. And just to make things even more interesting, we will add to the timeline with things never seen before.

About Enigma Moments

With eighth album released Enigma has created many wonderful different musical stories throughout its 25 years of existence. Thousands of you have shared with us the role Enigma played in their lives. Even more of you, remember and treasure a particular moment involving an Enigma song or album.

25 years later we want to bring all these moments together: to share each others’ experiences and, most importantly, tell “your” story of Enigma. We would like to welcome you to create your personal Enigma Moment.

As a first step, click on ‘Create Moment’ and select the song or album you want to associate your moment with. Then, describe what the moment is about and why it is special to you. Before submitting, please add a picture and let us know when and where you have experienced your moment, so that we can add it to our timeline. Once your Enigma moment is created, feel free to share your moment with friends and other fans on Facebook and Twitter. You can also browse through other people’s stories and show your appreciation with a Like. Your moments are what Enigma is all about!

How Enigma music could change the life of a little 9 years old child forever? Let me tell you the answer...

Enigma marked a before And after in my life, It was my engine to overcome the saddest moments of my life and a magnificient ingredient in my moments of joy.

In 1998, during summer camp when I was 9 years old, my mother took me to the dock, Where i could see and appreciate the immensity of the sea. My mother was hugging me for not get closer of the edge. In the middle of the amazing show of the marine horizon, my mom put me the headset in to my ears and "Sadeness" souned in that old walkman. In that moment, my heart jumped and the breeze of the sea hit my face, the immense sea in front of my eyes and the sweet sound of the shakuhachi flute created the perfect moment. I asked my mom "what's that? What is it?", She answered "it's Enigma, kid". On that day previous to me birthday number 10, I decided to wait the night and repeat the experience front of the sea with the same song under the stars as a privileged spectator of the world with a perfect soundtrack: Enigma

Since then, everytime i go back to the sea on any trip alone or with family, I took with me the music of Enigma because it always reminds me this moment that changed my concept of music. One year later, I returned to the same place with me father, with my tape of "The screen behing the mirror". I was front of the sea once again and the magic got back to me. Since that time, it was when I decided to start my collection of the songs and albums. So, I told myself when I grow up and I could earn my own money I wish to collect all the singles and albums. It was something that I did and my dream came to true in this 2015 to my 25 years old with the same love for the Enigma music I felt when my heart beat unknowingly that day before my birthday in 1998.

If you get to read this, master Michael, on behalf of the small fan club that we created in Peru I want to tell you that I'll be grateful with you my whole life. Thank you for be the creator of the soundtrack of my days and encourage with your music, after hearing the whole album Voyageur, I decided to created my own electronic music with my best friend of my childhood (Nowadays, he is my producer in our home studio). In my band and my work as DJ, I never go on stage without my silver ring engraved with the word Enigma in. It was a gift for my birthday and I got it with me since 2012 every moment that I need strength or when I need to go back to the sea and fly with the Enigma's songs. Now my nights in front of the sea when I hear the songs of Enigma calms my heart that is anxious to beat with the eighth album. Happy 25th anniversary!!!!
